The 2014 Syracuse Heart Walk will be held at Onondaga Community College SRC Event Center on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 8am – 1pm. The Syracuse Heart Walk is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. All walkers are asked to set a fundraising goal of $100. Incentive prizes are available for participants who raise $250 or more. A Heart Walk T-shirt is given to those who raise $100 or more.

Event registration as well as area physical fitness demonstrations, live music and entertainment will begin at 8am. Check out all of our sponsors’ areas and enjoy food, heart and stroke health education, survivor celebrations, advocacy, kid’s activities and plenty of fun inside the SRC Events Center!

Survivor and Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:30am and the walk officially begins at 10:00am. The walk route is a 1 – 3 mile, non-competitive course around Onondaga Community College with all intersections safely guarded for enjoyable family fun. A run component is available as well. This walk is rain or shine, so dress appropriately.

All participants that raise $100 or more will receive the official 2014 Heart Walk T-shirt. Prizes are earned at various fundraising levels and can be viewed in the prize catalog on the webpage. Become a VIP walker by raising $500 or more and earn special recognition and additional prizes as a thank you for helping to fund lifesaving research.
