Harvest of the Month

Originally started as an initiative within the Washington-Oaukee County Health Department, Harvest of the Month seeks to use Wisconsin's growing season to drive education and nutritional decision making through frequent exposure to (potentially) new produce items and/or ways of enjoying them. The Coalition for Healthier Hospitals is seeking to expand that work to our footprint throughout SE Wisconsin.

Each month, the featured produce will be incorporated into menus throughout our facilities and shared through members' individual communication channels. Recipes, processing tips, and more will be found here by clicking on the appropriate month below. We invite other businesses, schools, farmers markets, grocery stores, etc. to also feature the months harvest.
